Voor de derde opstand, in 1927, riepen een Koerden in dit noordoosten betreffende nederland de Republiek Ararat uit.

Een Koerden hebben een moeilijke tijd gehad met de regering van Turkije. Voorheen, destijds dit Ottomaanse Rijk er was, mochten de verscheidene volkeren hun persoonlijk ding doen, zolang ze maar luisterden tot de leiders.

For most people, Kurdistan and Iraq is probably not going to be a place they would seek to travel to but it’s posts like this one which show the human side to these destinations that will hopefully inspire people to visit.
